The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), established in 1964 by visionary leaders like Swami Chinmayananda,S.S.Apte and M.S. Golwalkar, has now completed 60 glorious years of service. To mark this significant milestone, Shashtyabdi Utsavams were organized across India. In Bhimavaram, the celebrations took place at Arya Vaishya Bhavanam, where a large gathering of Hindu devotees came together to honor this historic occasion.

      The event was organized by  Vabilisetty Sri Venkateshwarlu, President of VHP Andhra Pradesh Uttarandhra Pranta, and was graced by the presence of Sri Yakkala Raghavulu, a respected member of the VHP Central Working Committee (New Delhi). Sri Raghavulu facilitated the program on 30th August 2024, delivering a powerful and inspiring speech that left a lasting impact on everyone present. In his address, he emphasized the importance of inspiring others and the need for character-building in today’s society. Speaking passionately against 'paraninda' (criticizing others) and 'athmasthuthi' (self-praise), he urged everyone to focus on positive actions that contribute to the greater good. His speech covered various topics related to personal development and living by Hindu values, with a strong call for unity among Hindus. He stressed that in these times, it is essential for all Hindus to unite and work together for the collective upliftment of society.

      Vabilisetty Sri Venkateshwarlu also addressed the gathering, drawing attention to the plight of minority Hindus in Bangladesh, where they are facing severe persecution and discrimination. He highlighted the need for global awareness and action to protect the rights and dignity of Hindus everywhere. Venkateshwarlu urged the attendees to stand in solidarity with their Hindu brothers and sisters in Bangladesh, emphasizing that the VHP’s mission extends beyond India’s borders to support Hindus worldwide. Additionally, the occasion was further enriched by valuable remarks from Dr. P.R.K. Varma, a renowned cardiologist from Varma Hospitals, Bhimavaram. Dr. Varma spoke about the importance of community support and the role of health and well-being in strengthening society, adding significant depth to the event.

As Sri Raghavulu highlighted, the VHP has been and continues to be a cornerstone of Hindu society, playing a vital role in preserving and promoting Hindu culture, values, and traditions. The organization's work over the past six decades has been instrumental in uniting Hindus across the globe and fostering a sense of pride and solidarity within the community. The Bhimavaram Shashtyabdi Utsavams served as a testament to the enduring importance of the VHP in shaping a stronger, more unified Hindu society and underscored the need to support and protect Hindus wherever they may be.
